Where can I get flyers? Where should I hang up flyers or canvas?
Our most updated flyer is here. Churches, bus stops, community mental health agencies, areas where there is a lot of foot traffic, food banks, parks, gas stations, homeless shelters are some suggested options to canvas with posters. Focus on spreading awareness to people who spend a lot of time in the community.
How can I help if I can’t hang up flyers?
Volunteer opportunities for people in any location are available in our Facebook group.
📧 Email flyers to any public or private agencies that have a lot of contact with the public.
📰 Reach out to online creators or journalists to bring more attention to this case. Focus on bringing media attention to the need for FBI to get involved.
🖨 The family is always in need of flyers. If you are able to provide them or have connections with local print shops, this could be a great help.
💙 If able and willing, you can help fund the search for Jonathan through our Go Fund Me page.
💙 If able and willing, part of each purchase at our Bonfire Storefront is donated to fund our search effort here (new designs just added).
✍️ Sign the family’s petition for more urgent action from law enforcement.
Should we post flyers with pictures of his family or speaking directly to Jonathan?
He is unlikely to notice flyers especially when he is in a distressed state. We believe that effort is better spent in raising maximum awareness in the community: if someone spots a person that matches his description, they need to know he could be Jonathan and what steps they should take with urgency.
That said, we do have flyers geared toward Jonathan for people who feel strongly that attempting to speak directly to Jonathan is how they would like to help. You can access posters developed by speech language pathologists (who specialize in communicating with people on the spectrum) by joining the volunteer network.
